The Ad Said There Was No Central Heat or Air

When a bunch of my friends and I decided to go stay in a cottage in the mountains, I was thrilled! I hadn’t been on a girls trip in ages, so the thought of spending quality time with all of my best people under one roof brought me a lot of happiness.

Thankfully, someone else was in charge of booking the cottage and all I needed to do was bring some snack food! The girl who booked the cottage sent us all a connect to the rental so we could get excited for where we were staying.

However, in my quick scan of the rental agreement, I observed that it said there was no central heat or air. I immediately fired off a text to the rest of the ground and questioned the lack of heat. They were calling for snow during our time there and the thought of being without heat was dreadful. The cottage was nonrefundable though, so we decided to go and we packed a bunch of hot clothes and blankets. When we arrived though, the owner’s guide said that there was heat and air available, it was just via a ductless mini split system. Technically, it wasn’t central heat and air, but it was heat! All of the girls and I were so thankful for this! There were various ductless mini split units throughout the cottage and we were surprised by how well they heated each area! My buddy and I were perfectly hot and cozy during our girls trip despite the lack of central heat and air.
