This time it is much more unusual than last time; first of all, it sounds as if it’s going to be much colder than last time. And that’s saying something where we live, and our gas furnace is already pumping out the heating and has been for nearly a week or more… But it appears the temperatures are going to bottom out soon and be sub zero perhaps. That makes me so ecstatic that I did something about preparing the home this fall, but it’s not as though I am actually prescient or anything like that. I didn’t guess that it was going to be super chilly over there when we have all the family over. What I was thinking about when I got after the winter season preparation was saving cash on that heating costs; this is entirely something that has been overdue as I’ve needed to get after the winter season preparations far sooner than I have. But man, am I ever ecstatic? I did it this year because it looks like love. It’s going to be a doozy. The fantastic thing is our home is now sealed up super slender and is warmer than it’s ever been. I found every gap I could find and sealed them tight. That includes all the weather stripping around all the doors. I even added some insulation in the attic as well. I have to mention that my timing was entirely fantastic with this situation.
