When Grandpa plus I started talking about Heating, Ventilation plus A/C, I was interested in hearing more about her father being an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C contractor! Grandpa was almost eighty, so her father had to have been an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C contractor almost 100 years ago, i didn’t even suppose they had air conditioning system back then.
Grandpa laughed plus told me they had air conditioning system in the 1890s, however no 1 could afford it.
It was originally created to help out in factories. It was to kept the factories cool so there were fewer fires, then many people died because of the heat in the factories, plus ladies were locked in the basement to do their work! Hundreds of ladies plus children were trapped in those basements plus died, however air conditioning helped to cool the machinery plus made it safer to toil in factories. Air conditioning was soon installed in houses of the entirely rich plus influential, however it wasn’t until the early 1900s that it was part of every day life for many, and you could go into film theatres plus care about an hour or so seeing films, cartoons, or the news plus get some air conditioning system. Many grocery stores installed air conditioning system to keep their products fresh longer. She said Heating, Ventilation plus A/C wasn’t the same then as it is now, however it was just as pressing. She was proud that I had chosen to be an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C contractor, and the more I talked to Grandpa, the more I wished I had gotten to suppose him better! Not being around him for numerous years, could have cost me never knowing 1 of the coolest people I have ever met.
