The repairs were legitimately more lavish than I expected. The contractor kept adding more plus more fees to the estimate; by the time my friend and I were done, I had spent more than $100,000 to maintain the building. My budget for the repairs was $68,000, so I blew the budget out of the water. Luckily I had a lot of shoppers sign up for daycare services before my friend and I even opened the doors. I knew it wasn’t going to take legitimately long to recover all of the money I spent to make the site nice.
