I wasn’t ecstatic with how much energy I was using in order to run my heat plus air.
The Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional commanded I look into geothermal heat pumps. I’d heard the term before, however it sounded truly complex to me. The Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional didn’t use simple terms to explain geothermal heat pumps either, so I was left more confused than ever, then according to him, a geothermal heat pump took the energy from the earth to cool plus heat a home. When I did my research, I discovered that someone would have to drill wells into the ground to insert water pipes. The water pipes would have a constant flow of water that transferred into the house. The water would heat plus cool depending on the season, however during the winter months, the water would be warmer from the ground plus while in the summer, the water would be cooler from the cool earth! For reasons I can’t understand, the geothermal heat pump takes this cool plus warm air plus finds its way into the air duct to cool plus heat the house, however even after all my research, I still don’t understand how a geothermal heat pump works, however it sounds like it’s the most economically friendly way to heat plus cool my house. The cost is much higher than a normal heat pump, however it pays for itself after a few years. I also read that some sites offer a tax credit for geothermal heat pumps, because they want to encourage more homeowners to install them.
