When I moved into my new house, I was thrilled about the sunroom. I fell in appreciate with the sunroom when I first saw the pictures of the home online and it was actually the reason I chose to put an offer in on the house… Before closing on the house, I dreamt about the sunroom and how I was going to utilize it all year round, then upon moving in, my appreciate for the sunroom lasted a few weeks. However, the Summer heat was increasing every afternoon and the sunshine added extra warmth to the space naturally. Even with a portable fan running, the sunroom was uncomfortable and I couldn’t use it. I felt genuinely discouraged because I was looking forward to wonderful in the sunroom often, but here I was not using it because it was too hot. It made me sad to believe about how I really wouldn’t get to use the sunroom during the winter season either, because there was no heat to keep it warm. This is when I decided to install a ductless mini split system! It was the easiest and most energy efficient way to heat and cool the sunroom without having to connect my HVAC duct to the space.
