Marvin is the sort of person who has wanted to own a company for many years. He grew up poor, and life on a farm was hard. His parents ran a small dairy farm, but it was never easy. Because hiring help is costly, they would get to do the majority of the work themselves for no pay. And still that wasn’t enough to keep things going. Eventually, Marvin’s mom had to take a secretarial job in town in order to cover the bills. This struggle was a driving factor for Marvin to succeed. He wanted to start a business, make lots of money, and help his family. When he finished highschool, Marvin chose to study to become a HVAC expert. This was a good option since there are many HVAC business, and employment opportunities. Marvin got to attend school in the city where his uncle was staying with his family. This opened him up to a whole new world, and several times he got to see qualified HVAC experts at work. They would come to his uncle’s home to service the central HVAC system twice a year. Marvin always took such opportunities to speak about the HVAC industry, and made some amazing connections. One of the guys worked for an area HVAC business, and he put in a good word for Marvin when he got his HVAC certification. Marvin was diligent in his work, and stayed with them for 5 years. Last year, he started his own venture, and he is so happy his new HVAC business is thriving. It had taken many years to get here, but Marvin is finally living the life he’d always envisioned.
