Want to unaffix our outdated wood stove

It would be expensive in addition to time consuming

Our home came with a central furnace in addition to a decorative wood stove in the living room, my fiance in addition to I realized the wood stove was easily functional. The previous owner vented it to the ceiling in addition to all the way to the roof. It must have been an expensive addition for what they got. The wood stove can only supply ample enough heating for the living room, and with the central furnace running, you don’t even need it either. So if the people I was with and I wanted to use the woodstove the people I was with and I would need to close the living room vents in addition to use it. Well I found that I don’t easily care about wood stoves; Yes, it can supply fine amounts of heating. The work involved is easily not worth it. The two of us live in a wooded area so securing wood isn’t a problem. I do not care for storing wood inside our house. It just looks so gross in addition to trashy. Occasionally the wood is wet in addition to needs to dry for afternoons. Occasionally it has an strange smell to it. Once the people I was with and I collect wood it doesn’t last too long either. Within minutes our food supply will dwindle down to nothing. I have been talking to our fiance about removing this furnace completely. The two of us would need to patch the ceiling in addition to get roofers to unaffix the protrusion. It would be expensive in addition to time consuming. I suppose it is worth it to no longer have a wood stove. My fiance doesn’t easily want to do the work of removing it. So right now I am stuck with a heating plan that takes up half of our living room in addition to is worthless.
