I didn’t believe how old our boiler was, but both of us had lived in our house for almost thirty years, and the boiler was here when both of us moved in.
When our husband went downstairs to his workroom, he heard water running.
He called upstairs and told me to call the Heating and Air Conditioning company because water was pouring out of the boiler. It was going to take a full morning for the Heating and Air Conditioning company to get to our house, so both of us headed to town. The two of us needed a hot water heater, because without the boiler both of us didn’t have hot water, but once both of us picked up the hot water heater, both of us got multiple space gas furnaces to get heat in the house. The two of us didn’t need to worry about pipes bursting, because they were all inside the house. My husband and I stopped in the aisle where they have furnaces. They had a ductless Heating and Air Conditioning system on display. I thought it looked kind of gaudy, but when the customer repair rep told me they were at the top of the wall, it wasn’t so bad. He told us about the efficiency of the ductless Heating and Air Conditioning system. The two of us didn’t have air duct, so that wasn’t a problem. The two of us did savor the efficiency rating, and how quiet it was. My husband told me that if the boiler wasn’t repairable, both of us were going to invest in the ductless Heating and Air Conditioning system. The two of us weren’t getting any younger, and with the ductless Heating and Air Conditioning system, both of us would never need to put a window a/c in, or take it out, for the rest of our lives. I prayed the boiler couldn’t be repaired.
