It’s sort of taxing to fathom just what it must have been love for my Grandpa to grow up around here, i’m closing in on 60 & have seen a world of change come to this region, and so it’s sort of staggering to guess what it must have been love when my Grandpa was coming up! For 1 thing, he had to spend the summers without any sort of residential Heating, Ventilation & A/C.
It’s sort of taxing to imagine what it would be love to deal with these sort of summers & no heat pump.
I do not guess I ever lived inside a beach house that did not have central a/c; But even my father did not have residential Heating, Ventilation & A/C until he was a grown man… We’re lucky to have a heat pump & the Heating, Ventilation & A/C technology that provides cooling comfort to our homes. In this region, that is undoubtedly our greatest Heating, Ventilation & A/C concern. For 4 weeks while in the summer, you need plenty of a/c just to get by. But love I said, residential Heating, Ventilation & A/C hasn’t always been around! The earliest heat pump was invented early in the 20th century. But it took until the 1950’s to refine the Heating, Ventilation & A/C technology enough that it could go inside a home. Before that, there was no a/c to be seen. Folks up north had boilers or gas gas furnaces for heating. Where I am from, I guess everybody got by with a pot belly stove that also provided cooking & heating. Those were far easyr times & I am sure the action was limited while in the summer. Without a/c, I guess I would be always looking for a shady spot & some breeze.
