When the technician for heating and cooling came to tune up my HVAC system I explained to him my search for a new heating and cooling system that would be better at conserving energy and asked him for any recommendations. Since he is a heating and cooling technician and not all employees are experts in these systems, I reasoned that he would be one of the best people to ask. Because of this, he gave me a great recommendation, advising me to purchase a geothermal heat pump. He described a heat pump as a device that is buried beneath the ground and transforms liquids into heat or cool air depending on my needs. He informed me that in addition to using less energy, they also last a lot longer than conventional heating and cooling systems. He never stopped describing to me the many wonderful advantages. Because I was certain that there had to be some sort of catch to a heating and cooling system this good, I questioned him as to what it was. He assured me that there was no catch, but there was something I should know, although they are expensive up front, they are well worth the money in the long run. Long-term financial savings are something I like to hear about. He advised me to learn more about geothermal heat pumps, so I’m going to do just that. To determine whether geothermal heat pumps are the best option for me, I’ll definitely look at a few. Everything sounds wonderful, so I believe I might be persuaded.
