Having a good job keeps my husband very busy, and it sometimes feels like he spends more time at his heating and air conditioning business than he does at home! Why won’t he come over and hang out with me? We haven’t always had the best relationship and we’ve been going through some difficult times, but are we ever going to be able to fix it if he’s always wanted to avoid me? It seems like he tries to avoid me as much as possible.
Perhaps I’m overanalyzing and he simply really enjoys working in the HVAC industry.
Being a heating and air conditioning technician, he frequently travels for urgent heating and cooling repairs. You wouldn’t believe how many people neglect to have their heating systems serviced in the winter, as a result, when the chilly winter months arrive and their heating system inevitably breaks down, they call him, and the company dispatches him to the scene for emergency HVAC repairs. My husband should not be required to be available at all times on call, in my opinion. Even in the midst of an important task, he might have to leave to go and attend to a heating and cooling system for a person who needs it. My husband needs to pursue a different career, though. He works too much at his heating and air conditioning job, so I think I’m going to talk to him about trying to see if he can find a different job where he doesn’t work as much. I’m hoping he’ll be cool with that.
