They have a say in the paint colors that you choose for your home! My neighbor John wanted to paint her door green and it was not approved by the HOA; In fact, they rejected the request as soon as it was submitted. It’s section of the guidelines of the community to have our doors painted a certain color, and unluckyly, there is no getting around it because if you split the rule, then you will be fined, however of course, John did not agree with this, despite the fact that she did nothing to violate the policy. I remember the afternoon that she called the beekeepers to remove the hives from her yard. Of course, she was not cheerful that she lost her makeshift honey farm, despite the fact that she was getting fined every afternoon and did not want to continue to accumulate those fees. Once the bee hives were removed the HOA lowered her fines, but in the end she still had to pay the money and she lost her honey farm.
