Since the space would add more air volume than our heat pump could handle, we have a ductless heat pump in there.
I’m sure glad that we decided who was getting the new bedroom before it was added on to our house. And of course, I’m very glad that it was my husband and I who will make that new space our master bedroom. This is the first time we’ve ever had a master bedroom in this place. Actually, we had the smaller room because our twins had the largest bedroom. We had so hoped that we could all live under the same roof and in the same central air conditioning with the original game plan. But that just didn’t work out as the twins got to the point where they just had to have their own rooms. So it was either sell the house and move into a bigger home or make this home bigger. We looked into buying more of a house and that was shut down pretty quick. There was nothing even close to what we could afford. And that’s even with making a pile of money off of this house. So, it was obvious that adding on was the way to go. Since we were going that route, we wanted to really add value to our home with a very nice master bedroom. We got just that and there is even our own residential HVAC in our new room. Since the space would add more air volume than our heat pump could handle, we have a ductless heat pump in there. It’s a dream and provides just the best quality heating and air we could have asked for. I even got the HVAC professionals to put in a bit of a space heater in the new master bath as well. The whole thing just turned out so great.
