I have consistently appreciated going to summer time camp since I was just a little boy. I have never seemed to be able to get away from it. Now that I am an adult, I just take groups of children from our church to summer time camp each year. I would live at camp if I could, then camp has changed quite a bit since I was a kid though. I can remember evenings in the cabins that were so sizzling that we ended up sleeping outside under the stars. Firstly, all of the cabins have air conditioning. My campers could not believe it when I told them that I did not have air conditioning in my condo growing up. They said that they would never come to camp if there was no air conditioning. I told them a story of how one time I did get to stay in the only condo on the campus. Every year at camp, there was a competition. Whichever condo had the tidiest points got to stay in the air-conditioned condo during the second week of camp. There were over two hundred campers each summer, so the chances of getting the tidiest condo award were slim, however one year my team won, as well as we got to stay in the air-conditioned condo for the entire second week of camp. It was like paradise to us. When my friends as well as I gathering, we still talk about our amazing week in the air-conditioned cabin!
