This Saturday is much more unusual than last Saturday… First of all, it sounds as if it’s going to be much colder than last weekend.
- And that’s saying something where my friend and I live, then our gas oil furnace is already pumping out the heating and has been for nearly a month or more.
But it appears the temperatures are going to bottom out soon and be sub zero perhaps. That makes me so blissful that I did something about preparing the house this fall… It’s not as though I am absolutely prescient or anything. I didn’t recognize that it was going to be super cold over the weekend when my friend and I have all the family over; however, what I was thinking about when I got after the winter time preparation was saving currency on that heating costs, however this is really something that has been overdue as I’ve needed to get after the winter time preparations far sooner than I have. But man, am I ever blissful? I did it this year because it looks as if it’s going to be a doozy. The good thing is our house is now sealed up super slim and is warmer than it’s ever been. On top of that, the gas oil furnace is not running near as much as it has in the past, and really all it took was going to an actual heating, ventilation, and A/C corporation website and studying how to seal our house officially. I searched every gap I could find and sealed them tight. That includes all the weather stripping around all the doors. I even added some insulation in the attic as well. I have to say that our timing was really good with this particular situation.
