With warmer weather approaching, chances are you are trying to get your home ready for the Springtime and for the Summer that will be here soon.
And of course, that process is different for each of us.
During this time of year, my mom constantly changes her window treatments and she usually hangs lighter colors for the Springtime and Summer months, while the darker colors are reserved for the colder season. Personally, I don’t change my window treatments based on the season, instead they get changed when they are washed. And that is usually done while in the Springtime, however I also clean out my gutters, vents, and debris from my yard. There are usually leaves built up from the winter around my outdoor condenser, so I clean that as well. Another important job that I complete is to change the air filter inside my heat pump. With the Heating and Air Conditioning equipment providing heated or cooled air, I constantly want to make sure that the system is operating at optimal levels when it makes the switch. In addition to changing the air filter, I also schedule an appointment with my Heating and Air Conditioning provider. I appreciate scheduling appointments in the Springtime months because it is usually the slow season, however most Heating and Air Conditioning providers are busy during the winter and Summer months. But while in the busy season it’s constantly harder to get a specialist without having to wait. Moreover, while in the slow season I know I get better repair service because the Heating and Air Conditioning specialists are never in a rush to get to their next appointments. Anyway, I need to get started preparing my household for the Spring season and I hope you are doing the same.
