Heating, Ventilation, and A/C issues

If you have ever lived in an outdated house, you might be able to relate with the story I am going to tell, but the home I grew up in was built in 1934.

The home is nearly 100 years outdated at this point, and as a child, I remember rattling air vents and stinky air coming from the vents once the heat was turned on, but no matter the season, is seemed as there was always something wrong with the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system, then in a perfect world, my parents would have had the entire component substituted years ago.

However, this home was passed down from a late aunt who passed away unexpectedly. The home held numerous memories and some even said that it was haunted. I only ever heard weird noises coming from the air vents, and the occasional screeching when the filters need to be cleaned, but my parents wanted to substitute the entire heating and cooling system one year, but were unable to afford the repairs. In order to keep the value of the home if my friend and I wanted to sell, my friend and I would need to have the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C component substituted. There is no way the home would sell with all the weird sounds and stinks that came from the air vents! Once I went away for college, my parents decided to substitute the heating and cooling system in the outdated 1930’s home. After numerous inspections from an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company, they were informed that this project would require much more than they originally baracquired for. They would have to substitute the roof along with the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit! They went ahead with the project and sold the home shortly after.
