Recently, I was asked to travel to another city for my job.
The reason for the trip was to train a new staff member at another location.
I was thrilled that my company had offered me this opportunity to expand my career. My company paid for my hotel room and gave me a daily allowance for food. The hotel was nice and the first night, the air conditioner worked really well. I was able to set the fan to constantly run which I love to sleep. The white noise puts me to sleep quickly and I stay asleep longer with the air conditioner fan running all night. I was well rested for my first day of training for my company. I was happy that I slept well because I was working for 12 hours straight. I was exhausted when I returned to my hotel room that night. I was very unhappy when I went to turn on the air conditioner. I found that the power button to turn the unit on was no longer working. I tried to unplug the unit and plug it back in, but I had no luck. I was too tired to go down to the front desk to ask for a new room for the night. Instead, I slept that night with no air conditioner. I was so tired that it didn’t even matter that I was not able to use the air conditioner. The only problem I had was when I woke up, I was sweating. I never reported the broken air conditioner to the hotel.
