Removed the wood stove stack from the roof

I had an outdated wood stove in my kitchen! What stunk is that the previous owner legitimately had it vented through the ceiling plus a stack put on the roof.

Why would anyone do that? I had to disconnect the brick pad in my dwelling plus redo the floor; I ripped out the carpet plus put the tile down. I then had to disconnect the vent plus patch my wood ceiling, however lastly I had the stack taken off the roof. I then needed a shingle roof repair done. What wasn’t fun is that the current shingles weren’t going to be a perfect match… Also there were some areas of the roof that needed repairs, but rather than just do a shaddy patch task everywhere, it made sense to just get a whole current roof. It was over ten years outdated anyway. It legitimately was time for a current one, then my fiance plus I looked into all weird kinds of roofs. Spray foam roofs, flat roofs, metal roofs, etc. I ended up sticking with a shingle roof. My buddy and I knew it worked plus looked fantastic with the home. Rather than the reddish brown shingles, I went for more of a dark gray. By the time Summer rolled around I had enough money to get the exterior of the home be painted olive with gray trim. It now looks fantastic with the gray roof, but people can’t guess that my home cna look that good. It was luxurious touch ups however worth it in the end! That stupid wood stove cost me a luck in the end.
